Compare by Solderability
When production needs fast solder termination, polyurethane enamel insulation is usually the first material to evaluate. Higher-temperature systems may require mechanical, thermal or chemical stripping.
Compare by Thermal Class

Compare by Winding Durability
High-speed winding, slot insertion and rectangular wire can damage insulation. Nylon overcoat and PAI overcoat are common ways to improve surface toughness and abrasion resistance.
Compare by Electrical Stress
Standard breakdown voltage is not the only electrical requirement. In inverter-fed motors, voltage pulses and partial discharge can require corona-resistant enamel, thicker build, better impregnation and system-level testing.
How to Choose
Choose the lowest-complexity insulation system that meets temperature, voltage, winding and lifetime requirements. Avoid paying for special materials that the application does not need, but do not under-specify insulation where heat, abrasion or pulse voltage can cause early failure.
