Micromotors

DC micro motors and conventional DC motors is in the rotor. The rotor does not have an iron core but consists of a self-supporting skew-wound copper winding. This featherweight rotor has an extremely low moment of inertia, and it rotates without cogging. For low power micro motors, commutation systems using precious metals are the optimum solution because of their low contact resistance.

Application fields of micro motors:
1. Aerospace field: Aerospace vehicles are often in harsh conditions such as high vacuum, extreme temperature, strong radiation, and inability to effectively lubricate, and have strict system weight requirements. Ultrasonic motors are the best choice for drives.
2. The electromagnetic motor of precision instrumentation uses a gearbox to reduce the torque to increase the torque. Due to the existence of gear gap and return error, it is difficult to achieve high positioning accuracy, while the ultrasonic motor can be directly driven, with fast response and good control characteristics, and can be used for precision Instrumentation.
3. The joint drive of the robot: using the ultrasonic motor as the joint driver of the robot, the fixed part and the moving part of the joint can be integrated with the stator and rotor of the ultrasonic motor respectively, making the whole mechanism very compact.
4. Occasions where electromagnetic interference is very strong or electromagnetic interference is not allowed: In the environment of nuclear magnetic resonance and the operation of maglev trains, the electromagnetic motor cannot work normally, but the ultrasonic motor is competent.
